Toy
for Joy is a non-profit 501c3 organization founded
in March of 2002, with the purpose of helping low-income children
and their families.
Vision:
The vision of Toy for Joy is to contribute in the
total
development of the children and families who are less
fortunate so that they may realize as a person and as a
responsible citizen in the construction of a society that is just
and willing to give of one's self.
Mission:
To empower Hispanic children and their families, in the Caribbean
and the United States, by providing services that improve their
socio-economic and educational needs.
Improving
the educational system, health services and the general conditions
of life of the poor population in Caribbean countries can only
be done by collecting material Educational, clothing and Toys.
Goals:
• To encourage businesses, organizations and individuals
to donate toys, clothes, educational materials, medicines and
first-need articles to ship them to needy and poor neighborhoods
in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and other countries of the
Caribbean.
• To provide assistance to initiate and promote comprehensive
developmental programs for children, youth, and women in dire
need.
• Support educational & promotional initiatives in the
above/below mentioned institutions.
• Facilitate the creation and support, as well as equip
workshops with special emphasis on needy families.
• Promote artistic, musical and sports talent within the
persons we seek to help
• Bring happiness to children through the sponsored distribution
of toys on dates of significance in the respective countries.
• To prepare programs so we may educate the public about
our roots.
